I’m sorry to Diane Sawyer for making fun of her a few days ago. She obviously cannot help what she says because she’s a RAGING ALCOHOLIC! OOPS!
This is a disease people. . .so she should be fired.

I wrote two posts when I first started this thing, then I stopped.
Why? I think it was because I decided to start a blog in hopes that it would force me to create a passion to write about. I put the cart before the horse. There are many things I’m very interested in and very passionate about, but writing about them at a time in my life when I basically ignoring them to pursue a job I had no interest in would have been a lie and the product would have been shit.
So, here I am 9 months after I’ve started this blog, and things have changed. I now have a job as an audio engineer and system technician for a full service production company in Central Illinois. I am still living in Chicago and travel to the city where our warehouse is located to do shop work and then we travel from there.
What will change about this blog, then? The content, for one. Before I was just mish-mashing political news and satire and writing about things that popped into my head. I’m sure that stuff will still find its way on here but now I will focus mainly on things having to do with music, professional audio, live sound, music technology, and all of that fun stuff.
I started this job in late July, so I have a little catching up to do. Right now I’m at home for a week and a half, so over the next few days I’m going to detail what it is I do, why you might find it interesting, and I’m also going to catch up chronologically so this turns into more of a journal than a catchall for my thoughts.
Happy reading, and let me know if I’m boring anyone to death.
